Posalfilin contains 20% w/w podophyllum resin and 25% salicylic acid. It is used for the removal of warts on the feet only. Warts and verrucas are small excessive growths of skin caused by a particular virus. The virus is highly infectious and warts and verrucas may grow and spread if left untreated. The virus can be transferred from one person to another. You can recognise a wart by the rough cauliflower-like appearance of the surface. Verrucas often occur on the sole of the foot, and are recognised by their tenderness and interruption of the footprint pattern.
