Strepsils Extra Strength Blackcurrant 24 Lozenges

Strepsils Extra Strength Blackcurrant Lozenges contain an active ingredient for use in throat medications. It is used for the symptomatic relief of sore throat and its associated pain. The active ingredient has a mild antiseptic effect to kill the bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections and also acts as a local anaesthetic to numb the pain associated with a sore throat. Sucking the lozenge slowly in the mouth helps to lubricate and soothe the discomfort of the painful area in the throat, and also releases the active ingredient to help relieve the soreness and discomfort of mouth and throat infections.

The active substance in Strepsils Extra Strength Blackcurrant Lozenges is Hexylresorcinol 2.4mg

The other ingredients are: Liquid sucrose, Liquid glucose, Blackcurrant flavour (containing proplyene glycol), Levomenthol, Carmoisine Edicol (E122), Patent Blue V (E131).

This product is recommended for adults, children (over 6 years old) and the elderly. Children under 6 years old should not use this product.

Do not take this product if you have an intolerance to certain sugars such as fructose, glucose-galactose and sucrose-isomaltose.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have taken recently and other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, or suffer or are suffering from any other throat problems.

It is not recommended to use this product if you think you are pregnant, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
