Aspirin 75mg gastro resistant tablets contain aspirin 75mg in a special enteric coated formulation that helps prevent irritation of the gastro-intestinal mucosa. Aspirin is a NSAID (Non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). It has anti-platelet actions which mean it can stop the blood from clotting and blocking blood flow to important areas like the heart or brain. This means that it can help prevent heart attacks and angina or chest pains due to lack of blood supply to the heart muscle tissue. It can also prevent the occurence of mini strokes in susceptible patients.
