Oxygen

The pharmacy oxygen contract ends 6th February 2005. Under new regulations it will be replaced by a contractor based service. Prescribing for Oxygen will also change and will be consultant led. Make sure you know what is happening in your area. Pharmacies that have supplied cylinders, oxygen giving set in the past will be collecting them from February 6th as the new contractor takes over. Waste Regulations

New waste regulations have now come into force. If you are a nursing home you need to make sure you have made necessary arrangements with your local pharmacy of waste contractor. There is a section on this site giving information about the requirements for handling your medication waste.
